Hyatt Hotels has secured the first members for its Unscripted by Hyatt brand which the chain launched in mid-2025.

In a deal with Vietnam-based Indochina Kajima, six operating Wink hotels, two in Danang and one each in Saigon, Tuy Hoa Beach, Can Tho and Hai Phong, have joined the upscale collection.

Apart from creating a footprint for the new brand, the deal has expanded Hyatt’s presence in Vietnam to 10 hotels, from four. A seventh hotel, Wink Hanoi Westlake, is scheduled to join when it opens in late 2026, bringing the combined number of rooms to more than 2,000.

“This relationship with Indochina Kajima and Wink marks a milestone in our strategy to expand Hyatt’s brand presence in the dynamic Vietnam market,” said Stephen Ho, Hyatt’s president Greater China and Growth, Asia-Pacific. “The Unscripted by Hyatt brand is an ideal match for the modern, tech-savvy and social-centric ethos of Wink. We are thrilled to bring this fresh, adventurous brand to a new generation of Vietnamese travelers and international guests.”

Hyatt has indicated it is in active discussions with over 40 hotels globally to join the brand. As part of Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio, Unscripted by Hyatt is conversion-friendly for developers and allows flexible brand standards. This enables independent hotels to preserve their own identity while gaining access to Hyatt’s systems and global platforms. For properties like Wink, this means transitioning with minimal disruption while tapping into Hyatt’s global scale and World of Hyatt loyalty program which has more than 61 million members.

For guests, Wink is tech-forward and social with features such as seamless digital check-in and social-centric common areas. It also offers local flavors focusing on local food, culture and unscripted moments.

Indochina Kajima is a joint venture between Indochina Capital and Kajima Corporation. The made-in-Vietnam Wink is the brainchild of Michael Piro, CEO of Indochina Capital and Wink.

“Wink was built on the belief that Vietnamese travelers deserve design-forward, tech-enabled hotels that don’t compromise on personality,” said Piro. “Joining the Unscripted by Hyatt brand allows us to scale that vision while staying true to what makes Wink different: our contemporary ethos, sustainable DNA and modern Vietnamese style with nostalgic touches.”
